Forgot about this site. Been paying to keep it up for a very long time. We started playing Rift again and will be updating.

Not a fan of the leveling once again. Quests are just about useless and it is faster to level doing raid rifts. Why can’t people just make a game with quest hubs actually doing something to move your experience bar. The kill quests are a joke and a big waste of time. Some of us are already 60 so expect updates in the next week or so with build information and more importantly profession information updates.

Overhaul this weekend

It has definitely been a few months since I have updated this site. We have been busy clearing the content in Rift and also enjoying the summer. As summer comes to a close, we have been working hard on getting the updates ready. We will have all updated gathering guides, profession guides, and dungeon guides (including Hammerknell Fortress).

We can’t wait to get these updates for you guys.

Prince Hylas Guide – Greenscale’s Blight

As always, our friends at RiftBoss seem to be doing a great job at downing bosses and providing the best video guides I have seen in a while since my days in WoW. I wish they would hurry up and do a Greenscale one but they always seem to forget to fraps it as they think they are going to wipe.

Here is the Prince Hylas guide in Greenscale’s Blight. In this fight, they used 4 tanks, 9 support, and 7 dps in order to down this boss. Prince Hylas is the last boss before Greenscale which finishes the content within this zone.

Warmaster Galenir Guide – River of Souls

Our friends at RiftBoss created a guide for Warmaster Galenir in the new River of Souls 20-man raid instance. I have yet to raid in the new instance but the fight looks pretty straight forward. If you are familiar with ICC, then this fight will remind you of Festergut with the stacking debuff that will require you to swap tanks at around 8 stacks.

Port Scion needs a complete face lift

I am not sure who designed the Port Scion but there are some serious issues with this warfront. Most of the elements in Rift are polished but this one was definitely overlooked. For those that are not level 50, then I suggest you don’t read unless you want spoilers. You have been warned.

There are two ways to win in Port Scion:

Kill the other faction’s Boss
Get 1000 points by turning in these shards that give 30 a pop (and by killing others)

Which way do you think these games are won?

You guessed it – getting a 1000 points and turtling up in the north where there are the most shards that spawn. I am all about PvP but this is just out of hand. It is boring and really doesn’t promote anything that resembles the rest of the game. The war front turns into a death match game with capture the flag qualities except people don’t try to go for people with the flag and rather just sit on a bridge.

This war front needs to be changed drastically in order to be successful.

Here are my suggestions for fixing Port Scion:

The game starts with Guardians and Defiants at 1000 points each.
Instead of going to a 1000 points, let this number tick down. The side that reaches zero first loses.
Destroying the key shards will reduce the opposite faction by 200 points each. The respawn timer of the faction that lost the shard will increase by 5 seconds.
The shards highlighted below do ABSOLUTELY nothing and respawn almost immediately after destroyed. They are completely useless.

Destroy both shards and NPC reinforcements no longer come to support.
Killing the ghost boss in the middle should decrease the opposite faction by 100 points. The raid boss that comes to aid the faction that killed the ghost needs to have more health.
By this time, if your faction has done everything possible, then there should be 500 points left. The last 500 points can go by the normal ways of winning Port Scion which are to either kill the other faction’s boss, finish running the shards for 30 a pop, or death match it to 0.

These changes should increase the killing of the last boss at the end and make the game more strategic and fluid rather than hold the bridge and turn in shards all day.

Clean up week

There is a lot of new stuff happening at Rift Bro. I want to share a few things with you guys as you all have been extremely supportive of this site over the past couple months. Our traffic increases daily with more of our other guides starting to pick up the pace with our most popular guide, mining, still continuing to dominate.

We have started to clean up a lot of our guides to be easier to use and read. There will be changes the next couple of days to sort out each of our guides. You can already see some of the changes with all of our guides such as outfitter. We still welcome your feedback.

We have had plenty of requests to put our guides in a PDF. We are looking into options for that, however, we must also consider that if we do put our guides in a PDF we do risk losing you as a user. I will have more information about this by the end of the week. We love the idea and want to pursue it but we also love the fact you (and your friends) keep coming back and giving us feedback.

Navigation on Rift Bro is atrocious. You will see changes that will clean up the top of the site.

These are the fastest and best way to level your professions from 1-300. I have had a lot of requests to put these in a printable format. I am working on that request this week to make it easier to handle. In the meantime, I am looking for a “wowhead” type site so I can link items with the pretty tooltips. Let me know if you find a site like that.

Runecrafter guide should be up later today or tomorrow.

Rift Armorsmithing and Weaponsmithing Guides Available!

We have finally finished our armorsmithing and weaponsmithing guides. These guides will help you level your armorsmithing from 1 to 300 as well as your weaponsmithing from 1 to 300. I want to thank our buddy Ganrax for helping us out with these guides. He has done a phenomenal job with these guides. Now he can get back to raiding and be #1 tank in Rift.
